Aphid Control

Aphids are very common small crawling insects that reproduce at an extremely fast pace, causing infestations to quickly harm your crop. Their color is typically green but may vary depending on species and what they have been eating. Some species have wings and some do not.

Think Preventative 

Use Yellow Sticky traps to monitor and detect infestations early. When using beneficial insects for natural organic pest control it is a good practice to be preventative. Release predators like ladybugs or green lacewings early and regularly throughout the growing seasons before you have an aphid infestation.

Unlike harsh chemicals, Natural Aphid Control Predators take time to establish a population and work at reducing aphid. This why we recommend releasing good bugs before aphids infestation is high. Waiting too long can cause the aphids to get out of control. Release aphid predators at the first site of damage. 

What works best for Aphid control?...

Generalist like Ladybugs, Green Lacewings, Aphidoletes aphidimyza feed on most species of Aphids.

Ladybugs: Aphids, Mealybugs, Mites, Whiteflies, etc.

Green Lacewings: Aphids, Mealybugs, Thrips, Spider Mites, Whiteflies, and other soft bodied insects.

Aphidius Ervi: Most Aphids. Potato Aphid , Greenhouse Potato Aphid , Pea Aphid and Green Peach Aphid.

Aphelinus abdominalis: A wide range of Aphids. Aphid parasite of choice for the Potato Aphid (Macrosiphum euphorbiae) and the Glasshouse Potato Aphid (Aulacorthum solani).

Aphidoletes aphidimyza: Many species of Aphids.

Aphidius colemani: Many species of Aphids
